Global Projects

New England’s Annual Global Projects

Hispanola Global Issues Internship &
Uganda Global Issues Internship

Tentative Dates: June – July 2013

Our team spends 1-week at the Global Issues Institute, then 4-5 weeks in the Dominican Republic (working with ADEE Dominican Students) OR Northern and Southern Uganda (working with FOCUS Ugandan students), who are part of IFES. Students encounter and serve amidst real physical, emotional and spiritual brokenness. We have a program of speakers and guided discussions with our local student partners to learn about Global issues from different points of view.

Our goals are to expose critical global issues of our time and to serve alongside of those affected to better understand how Christ brings hope into these situations of pain and suffering. We also have a goal of racial and ethnic reconciliation, so the local students take initiative to heal their land. Lastly, we help students integrate what they’ve learned back on campus by providing encouragement and training in putting on an event during the next school year.

Other Global Project Opportunities
For more information about IV projects happening throughout the world, click hereHelp the sick, love the orphans, comfort the dying and preach the good news on one of our projects. Or get up close and personal with a college student from another country. If relationships are important to you, consider an extreme cross-cultural friendship. Room with an English-speaking student overseas and spend the summer being real about your life, faith and interests.

Global Urban Trek Opportunities
For more information about IV Treks happening through the world, click here.
Students and recent graduates are welcome on the Global Urban Trek. While on the Global Urban Trek, they’ll live in slum communities around the world. While in these communities, they’ll volunteer their time in service ministries alongside the poor of those communities and seeking to love the poor as Jesus does. Participants will be asked to seriously consider long-term service to the poor in the future.
