Dr. Stephen L. Buka, Director of the Center for the Study of Human Development at Brown University, is the principal investigator for a new study that will look at how biological and environmental factors affect the development of children. The National Children’s Study, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, is just starting up but eventually plans to follow 100,000 children nationwide from birth to age 21.
