A new, more sensitive laboratory test for a common STI, Trichamonos vaginalis (TV), has been developed by Dr. Kimberle Chapin, Associate Professor of Pathology/Lab Medicine at Brown University. The findings come from Dr. Chapin and her colleagues at the microbiology lab in Rhode Island Hospital and have already been submitted to the FDA for approval.
