Meth Use During Pregnancy Causes Childhood Behavioral Problems

A new study to look at methamphetamine’s potential lasting effects on children whose mothers used the drug during pregnancy finds these children at higher risk for behavior problems. The behavior changes, such as anxiety, depression, moodiness, weren’t huge, but lead researcher Dr. Linda LaGasse, associate professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at Brown University, called them “very worrisome.” Read more…
