New fellowship allows students to create solutions for racism in medicine

The Brown Advocates for Social Change and Equity fellowship, a program led and supported by the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at the Alpert Medical School, is in its inaugural year. It provides a structure path for students to develop programs to address diversity and inclusion in the medical field, via a series of projects, workshops, and mentorship.

Thirty Brown students and alumni awarded NSF fellowship

The National Science Foundation has selected 30 Brown University students and alumni to receive funding for graduate study under the Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).

The program recruits high-potential, early-career scientists and engineers and supports their graduate research training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
