Update 5PM
As part of needed maintenance, documented in Syschange 10070, the RADIUS Certificate for Brown-Secure was updated today. The certificate was set to expire shortly, and was updated to a new InCommon-approved certificate.
For many people, the routine certificate update was occurring properly, but some people are having continuing connection issues. Working with the Help Desk today, we put together a set of instructions that were working for most users. At the current time, the methods below are recommended for updating the certificate:
Tomorrow, we’ll be making Cloudpath configuration changes that will allow Cloudpath to function as it previously did – it will be able to re-baseline any wireless connection to Brown-Secure without the need to be deleting profiles or accepting certificates. We will announce when the change goes into place; anyone who is still having certificate issues should run another Cloudpath instance.
As a reminder, as a workaround for those who are having trouble, connection to Brown_EZ and login to SSLVPN will give you a fully secure connection via wireless.
