RESOLVED: VPN Client

UPDATE: 4/8/2013 RESOLVED:

We’ve upgraded the VPN service to support the changes that Apple made to the operating system. We have resolved the issue we were experiencing with the VPN F5 client for Mac’s. It is fully functioning on all Mac computers. If you have any further questions or issues with this software, please contact the Help Desk by emailing us at help@brown.edu or calling us at (401)-863-4357. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Computing and Information Services

UPDATE: 2-1-2013

We are still working with the vendor on the installed VPN client for Macs issue. The VPN web based client for Macs and PCs as well as the installed client for PCs are working at this time.

UPDATE: 9:08 VPN is functioning on PCs and the Web based client for Macs. The installed client for Macs is still not functioning.

We are aware of a problem with VPN (Virtual Private Network) and are working to identify and resolve the issue. Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: connection to the Brown virtual private network from off campus for access to programs and services exclusive to users on the Brown on-campus network using the installed software client. The web based client is still functioning

If you experience problems other than the ones mentioned above, or problems with another service, please report them to the Help Desk at (401) 863-4357. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you for your patience,
Computing and Information Services
