Access to Shared Drives-RESOLVED

Access to all departmental shared drives has been fully restored

We are experiencing some storage problems with the departmental file servers.  Most user shares are accessible at this time but we may have to take your share down later today Tuesday July 23 between 5:00PM – 11:00PM

We are aware of a problem with Shared Drives and are working to identify and resolve the issue. Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: access to centralized Windows Directory Service for authentication of users, computer, and group objects – will affect the ability to log in to AD-driven resources such as Windows computers, Departmental file services / shared drive / webfiles.

We will be posting all updates, including the resolution of the problem, on the CIS blog at http://blogs.brown.edu/cis – please check the blog regularly for updates.

If you experience problems other than the ones mentioned above, or problems with another service, please report them to the Help Desk at (401) 863-4357. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 All shares should now be accessible.  We will continue to monitor the servers tonight and tomorrow for any storage issues.
