The Academic Technology Institute is an opportunity hosted by Brown University CIS for faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate student instructors to experiment with integrating technology into their course design. As part of Academic Technology’s faculty development initiative, this program seeks to enhance teaching and learning by helping instructors identify and develop instructional/technological solutions to meet specific, often experimental course goals and objectives.

Over the course of four days, participants explore the relationship between pedagogy and technology through a series of explorative, expert-led workshops, discussions, and presentations. By the end of the institute, participants will have developed a plan for an instructional project involving digital media or technology. Academic Technology will commit support for these projects throughout further planning and implementation.

No previous experience with using instructional technology is required to attend.

Upcoming institute dates: May 1, 2, 3 & 5
