This intermediate-level course (ENVS 0455) enables students to master fundamental ecological concepts and to understand how this knowledge can be used to inform coastal conservation and management. Through case studies from New England and elsewhere and field trips to rocky shores, salt marshes and other coastal ecosystems, students develop core scientific skills and experience the challenges and opportunities of coastal conservation science.
