Sen. Jack Reed, accompanied by the Regional Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (Curt Spalding), NIEHS Director of Extramural Research and Training (Gwen Collman), the directors of Rhode Island’s environmental and health departments (Janet Coit and Michael Fine), and Brown University Provost (Mark Schlissel), visited Brown University’s Superfund Research Program Monday, April 9, 2012. Each of the above named dignitaries addressed the audience and members of the press after having the opportunity to watch a informative film and tour a research lab. In addition, trainees and investigators met with attendees during a poster session and attended a presentation given by Gwen Collman.
