Last night’s meeting featured Lauren Kolodny ‘08, the Young Alumni Trustee on the Corporation. She answered questions from UCS members and guests alike, on issues ranging from the proposed ORC cuts to the increase in transfer students. UCS then passed a series of changes to the UCS elections code. These changes were made to modernize and update the code. Changes include making the elections process a continuous period of 24-48 hrs, instituting instant run-off voting, and stipulating rules for the Elections Board. Also of note is a new website, events.brown.edu. This website allows integration between facebook, ical, google calendar, and more. It is suggested that students utilize this website and make it their homepage.
