Tonight, the Undergraduate Finance Board presented proposed changes to their constitution. UCS must approve these changes for them to take effect. UCS will be voting on the changes next week – you can review them here.

Congratulations to the Bridge and Lead Group for being approved for Category I status. In addition, The Brown Noise Toastmasters group was approved for Category II status.

Last night’s meeting featured Lauren Kolodny ‘08, the Young Alumni Trustee on the Corporation. She answered questions from UCS members and guests alike, on issues ranging from the proposed ORC cuts to the increase in transfer students. For more information on this conversation, please see the minutes of the February 24th meeting.
UCS then passed a series of changes to the UCS elections code. These changes were made to modernize and update the code. Changes include making the elections process a continuous period of 24-48 hrs, instituting instant run-off voting, and stipulating rules for the Elections Board. Also of note is a new website, events.brown.edu. This website allows integration between facebook, ical, google calendar, and more. It is suggested that students utilize this website and make it their homepage.
