What We Can Learn From Refugee Children

The Brown Refugee Youth Tutoring and Enrichment (BRYTE) program partners Brown undergraduates with local refugee children and their families. With so much negative discourse about refugees in the news these days, the IWB wanted to take a moment to humanize the headlines. While BRYTE tutors work to help refugee children adjust academically and culturally, it turns out that the refugees also have much to teach our tutors.

The IWB conducted a survey of tutors to explore these rich experiences.
