name what is enough for you

name what is enough for you

enough is
one day at a time
a group chat: salad lubricant
shopping sprees at savers or goodwill
the skateboard that harbors potential for learning
a camera that has not documented nearly enough beauty
grocery shopping with my mother, running errands with my father
hikes with my sister, car rides with my best friend, picnics with myself
one doctor who truly cares about my dreams, my hopes, my desires, my fears
playlists on which i rely on banana pancake mornings, crying-myself-to-sleep nights
what is not enough is the series of voicemail messages that i refuse to hear, to delete
anger on her tongue during a drive up mountain road, along the turtle xing
realizing that i should wake up, work out, study, do something
the burn as i shout lyrics, even when no words escape
best (boy) friends who climb through windows
artists whom i once cherished, worshipped
graduation in unfamiliar colors
vacations with strangers
given-up futures
everything
