The above letter is from David J. Livingston ’53 who attended a scheduled Josiah Carberry lecture in New York on September 13 in hopes of catching a glimpse of the world-renowned scholar.
Those familiar with this blog might remember that two weeks ago, on September 13, Professor Josiah Carberry was scheduled to attend a screening of Made Not Born in the Rockefeller Library’s DSL (located in Rhode Island).
How did one man appear in two places, hundreds of miles from each other? We’ll never know. Professor Josiah Carberry failed to show at either location.
A local news report alluded to a puffin hunt of some sort as the reason why Professor Carberry was not able to make it to his scheduled commitments.
