2/27/17: Due to the changeover to the new Alumni/Giving website, Library eresources for Alumni are currently unavailable. We are working to fix the problems and hope to have the eresources up and running very soon. In the near future, we will be adding new eresources as well such as Project Muse, Sage Ejournals, Adam Matthew Digital, CQ Press materials, and the Shoah Visual History Archive.

Elsevier Publishing has announced that they are working to fix the problem that they are having with ScienceDirect, multiple browsers, and EZProxy. As we use EZProxy with ScienceDirect both on and off-campus, access to ScienceDirect is sporadic. We will keep you updated and announce when the problem has been resolved. NAXOS Music Library has been down since Thursday, December 1. The problem has been reported to NAXOS support. Despite what the error message says, our license has not expired. In November 2016, we renewed until December 2017.

Yesterday and today, we have been experiencing intermittent, site-wide access issues that affect use of JSTOR. Our engineers are working hard to restore stable access as quickly as possible. JSTOR ejournal service is available for searching, but full text articles are currently unavailable. It is a widespread problem that is not limited to just Brown University. JSTOR is aware of the problem and working to fix it. We apologize for the inconvenience.
All ProQuest databases will be unavailable from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, August 1, 2015. This includes all ProQuest research databases (ProQuest Business, etc.), Chadwyck Healy databases (LION, etc.), newspaper databases, RefWorks, Pivot, and the dissertation databases.
Clinical Key will also be having database maintenance on Saturday evening. Users will be unable to use any of the functions that require a personal login from 6:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. EST.
The Oxford University Press has reported that the problems with the Oxford English Dictionary have been resolved.
The Oxford English Dictionary is experiencing technical issues. The technical support staff at OED indicate that they are working to solve the problem, but there is no expected time given for when the OED will be back up. A post will be put up here when it is back up and working properly again.
