New Film Streaming Service on Trial

The Library is running a trial of Film Platform, a streaming video service.  Film Platform brings relevant and highly regarded films from the festival circuit to the Library. Their aim is to bring these important stories to the forefront of the global academic conversation. The collection is meticulously curated by film experts and leading academics to showcase critically-acclaimed documentaries of social, political and cultural importance.

HEIN Online Government, Politics, and Law on Trial until March 2017

1754-present; HeinOnline’s Government, Politics & Law contains more than 80 million pages of content across 80,000 titles and 195,000 volumes. HeinOnline bridges the gap in history by providing comprehensive coverage from inception of more than 2,300 periodicals. In addition to its vast collection of journals, the database also contains the Congressional Record bound volumes in entirety, complete coverage of the U.S. Reports back to 1754, constitutions for every country in the world, classic books from the 18th & 19th centuries, all United States Treaties, the Federal Register and CFR from inception, and much more!

R2 Digital Library Now on Trial

R2 Digital Library​

The Brown University Library is currently providing trial access to the R2 Digital Library. R2 Digital is a database of medical, public health, and biology, ebooks from major publishers such as AAP, APHA, AAMC, Jones and Bartlett, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Springer, and many more. Features of the R2 Digital Library include:

  • Saved searches, images, references and bookmarks, and A-Z drug and topic indexes using a customized MyR2 account
  • Browse by category, discipline or title
  • Search content across the entire platform, finding information on a topic in just two clicks.

We particularly encourage BioMed and School of Public Health faculty, students, and residents to explore this resource. See the R2 Digital Library user guide for useful tips. Encyclopedia of Associations Now on Trial

The Encyclopedia of Associations (Associations Unlimited) is now available for trial on the Library Web Trials page.

Associations Unlimited combines data from the entire Encyclopedia of Associations series and includes additional IRS information on nonprofit organizations, for a total of more than 456,000 organizations. The database also contains association materials — brochures, logos and membership applications.
