There is a (forthcoming) special issue of the Journal of Interpersonal Violence devoted to The Witch-Hunt Narrative. The volume includes an invited article by James Wood and three non-academic co-authors. Their article describes Professor Wood’s request (to me) for a transcript of an interview in the Fuster case. The article leaves the false impression that Wood received no response to his request. In fact, he received a detailed two-page response that is reproduced here. It is Wood who did not respond, leaving all of the questions in this letter unanswered. Why did Wood and Nathan help “sponsor” Frank Fuster’s case, when they lacked any information about an interview they now agree was critical to the case? Why did Wood file frivolous ethics complaints against the Bragas? Why did he not respond to a request for an interview in 2009? These questions remain unanswered.
