Erin Anthony creates tiny furniture from Bristol board, acrylic paint, colored pencil, and ink. The Bristol pieces are cut individually with an X-Acto knife. All cutting and building is done freehand (with the exception of circular pieces, which are drawn from a stencil) without plans. As an engineering challenge, the furniture is assembled without glue or tape, but only using a dovetail/tab type of construction. The items are imperfect and meant to replicate freehand illustration in 3D. The furniture is intentionally useless, not intended for dollhouses or any practical use, and impermanent. The grandfather clock, bed, and houseplant were created exclusively for the Tiny Exhibit.
