Uni is a Filipina woman living in the United States. She migrated to provide financial support for her children’s futures. Some of her family members who were already in the US helped with the challenging immigration process. After working two or three jobs at a time for many years, she has finally achieved her dream of opening a restaurant, Pinoy Lane To Go in Warwick, Rhode Island.
“I had a restaurant in the Philippines before I came here. When my kids graduated, I don’t have to work 3 jobs anymore, so I decided to just have a restaurant again. I don’t want to work for somebody else. When I get too old I’m gonna pass it to my cousins.”
